Xiaomi is currently depending heavily on the YU7 — an SUV that launched in June 2025 and widely considered a competitor to Tesla's Model Y — to sustain sales.</p><p>Meanwhile, deliveries of the Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan series continued to slide, plunging to just 218 units in February, the lowest monthly figure since the SU7's launch.</p><p>This represents a 99.08% year-on-year collapse and an 80.76% drop from January.</p><p>To manage this transition, Xiaomi halted production of the first-generation SU7 last month. Cumulative deliveries of the first-generation SU7 have exceeded 381,000 units since its market debut.</p><p>Xiaomi's founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun announced earlier today on Weibo that the official launch of the next-generation SU7 has been moved up to this month, earlier than the previously planned April rollout.</p><p>Xiaomi is currently ramping up preparations for the mass production of the new SU7.
