Futu will upgrade its AI to help users execute investment strategies more efficiently

Futu Securities is hosting the 2026 Retail Investment and Wealth Management Expo and has announced the upcoming launch of several new features in AI, including a comprehensive upgrade of its NiuNiu AI, which will enhance its intelligent engine from a "question assistant." It will introduce an AI self-generated indicator function to assist users in executing investment strategies and managing risks more efficiently. Yao Wenqing, head of Futu AI Growth Center, stated that Futu has been continuously increasing its investment in AI strategy since 2022, and in recent years has been expanding its AI talent and algorithm teams at a doubling rate. Currently, AI investment accounts for a significant portion of the industrial sector and ranks among the top levels in various functional departments. He continued to express confidence that AI tools can indeed improve investor experience and efficiency while saving manpower, but more importantly, he hopes to achieve larger-scale business expansion through AI tools to provide higher quality services to customers. He emphasized that he believes AI will change the industry landscape and is currently more focused on the long-term value brought by AI strategy rather than short-term returns, viewing it as a strategic investment. Self-Developed and Built AI Intelligent System When asked about the data sources for Futu AI, Yao Wenqing stated that the Futu AI intelligent system platform is entirely self-developed and built, primarily consisting of three parts: the data layer integrates Futu's proprietary data, the model layer builds financial models targeting key investment aspects, and the computing power layer utilizes cloud infrastructure, allowing Futu's AI tools to achieve higher precision through this architecture. He also mentioned that Futu AI tools have multiple advantages, such as integrating high-precision internal market data, proprietary community content, and information from across the web, resulting in more comprehensive, accurate, and rapidly updated data; higher personalization capabilities that can provide more precise answers by combining historical behavior and holding information with user authorization; and being trained with the participation of financial experts and equipped with unique tools (such as AI quantification), making AI more knowledgeable about finance. Plans to Launch Parent-Child Securities Accounts Last year's Futu Investment Expo attracted over 12,000 attendees. Futu Securities' Chief Marketing Officer, Yu Qihui, pointed out that they hope to surpass last year's attendance this year, but are more focused on the depth of audience participation rather than sheer numbers. Therefore, this year they have added multiple interactive formats, such as expert Q&A sessions and influencer (KOL) interaction segments, hoping that the audience can not only obtain information but also achieve growth in investment capabilities through deep participation. Futu announced future plans, including the intention to launch parent-child securities account services to assist families in starting investment education and long-term wealth planning earlier; plans to introduce financing trading cryptocurrency services to achieve seamless integration between Web 3.0 and Web 2.0; and support for HKD and USD 24/7 bank-securities transfers, with the fastest completion time of about 4 seconds
