Image credit: BYD)</figcaption></figure><p>BYD is expected to officially launch its all-new Song Ultra EV on March 26, following the start of pre-sales for the electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) earlier this month.</p><p>Lu Tian, head of sales for the new energy vehicle (NEV) maker's Dynasty lineup, announced the plan on Weibo on Friday, stating that the Song Ultra EV will feature flash-charging technology as standard across the entire lineup.</p><p>BYD unveiled its flash-charging technology, which boasts a charging power of up to 1500 kW, along with its second-generation blade battery on March 5. The Song Ultra EV is one of the first models to be equipped with these new technologies.</p>    <div>        <p><span>Join us on </span>            Telegram            <span> or </span>            Google News        </p>    </div><p>Positioned as the first B-class pure electric SUV in the Dynasty lineup, the vehicle opened for pre-sales on the same day as the technology launch.</p><p>BYD is offering four versions of the model, with pre-sales starting prices of 155,000 yuan ($22,510), 165,000 yuan, 175,000 yuan, and 185,000 yuan, respectively.</p><p>The mid-size SUV measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm.</p><p>The flash-charging capability and the second-generation blade battery are the core selling points of the EV. Official data shows that under normal temperature conditions, it takes only about 9 minutes to charge the vehicle from 10% to 97%. Even in a -30°C environment, the charging time only increases by about 3 minutes.</p><p>The Song Ultra EV offers two range versions, with CLTC operating ranges of 620 km and 710 km, respectively.</p><p>It is equipped with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive system, delivering a maximum power of 270 kW and a top speed of 210 km/h.</p><p>The car features the DiSus-C intelligent body control system, as well as a high-speed tire blowout stabilization system.
