Electronic payment for taxis in Hong Kong is about to be fully implemented

The Transport Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government issued a reminder on the 15th that starting from April 1, taxi drivers must provide electronic payment methods to facilitate passengers in paying fares. The department urges drivers to install and familiarize themselves with the operation as soon as possible. Before getting into the taxi, passengers can pay attention to the window stickers or inquire with the driver about the available electronic payment options. Passengers can also continue to pay in cash
