Sri Lanka has announced that Wednesdays will be a holiday for public institutions to save fuel. This is the latest in a series of savings measures taken by Asian countries since the war disrupted oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.
Last year, nearly 90% of all oil and gas transported through the strait was sent to Asia, which is the largest oil-importing region in the world
