During the recent meeting, the Chief Executive Officer Andy Jassy said that Amazon Web Services (AWS) had a potential of building up to $600 billion in annual revenues, which is a twofold estimate of the $300 billion estimate that was issued ten years ago.</p> <p>In the above projection by Reuters on 17 March 2026, the role of AI as a driver of growth of cloud computing is emphasized. </p> <p>As of 2025, according to data from Synergy Research Group, 63% of enterprise spending on cloud infrastructure services in Q3 came from Amazon, Microsoft, and Google combined. </p> <p>It was 62% four quarters ago and 61% four quarters prior. Amazon is collaborating with NVIDIA on AI assistants to be used in cars and Cerebras to achieve faster speeds of inference. </p> <p>Additionally, Amazon and OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, have a multi-year strategic partnership that involves up to $50 billion in investment to speed up AI innovation.
