On March 21, 2006, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey typed "just setting up my twttr" on a laptop, ushering in the era of 140-character tweets. Now 20 years old, this first tweet, with its extremely simple content, has been featured on Wikipedia's timeline, in the Computer History Museum archives, and even has its own Guinness World Record.
