Musk has put forward a bold vision: deploying artificial intelligence (AI) data centers in space. "Conceptually, it makes a lot of sense to consider building data centers in space in the long term," said Karin Fronczke, global head of private equity investments at Fidelity Investments. Fidelity is one of the investors in the unlisted company SpaceX. "Of course, the question then becomes what you just talked about: is it economical? Frankly, as investors, our focus has always been on 'Starship.'" Hurdles remain immense, but SpaceX is preparing to launch the third-generation version of its Starship rocket next month, which boasts a payload capacity of 100 tons. (Bloomberg)
