The report indicates that Chinese regulatory authorities have recently strengthened the scrutiny of &#34;red chip&#34; companies issuing shares in Hong Kong, which are registered overseas to attract foreign investment. However, Beijing is also actively supporting local leaders in fields such as AI and robotics. Moonshot AI is on par with companies like DeepSeek and Yushu Technology, with its large model considered one of the top-performing products in China.
In fact, other domestic AI large models, such as Zhipu AI and MiniMax, have seen their stock prices reach new highs since being listed in Hong Kong this January, with both companies now valued at approximately $40 billion.
In addition to preparing for the IPO, Moonshot AI is also actively raising funds through the private equity market. It is reported that the company completed over $700 million in financing earlier this year and is currently negotiating a new round of financing of up to $1 billion. This round of expansion will bring the company's valuation to approximately $18 billion.
