According to the trading situation of second-hand mobile phones on the Zhuanzhuan platform in the first quarter, the average price increase for products priced between 1,000 and 2,000 yuan is around 80 yuan, with noticeable price increases for certain models from Vivo, OPPO, and Honor.
Relevant personnel from second-hand platforms like Xianyu stated that since March, the recycling prices for second-hand mobile phones have shown a structural increase, not a universal rise across all categories, mainly concentrated in mid-to-low-end Android models, with an average increase of about 20%. &#34;As storage chips are core components of electronic devices, production capacity is highly concentrated among the three giants: Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron, which together hold over 90% of the global market share, leading to a high concentration of industry influence. Concerning the legal risks in second-hand mobile phone transactions, lawyers remind that privacy leakage issues should be taken seriously; merely restoring factory settings may still allow data recovery by professional software. Users are advised to deeply clear data in advance or seek professional tools to overwrite storage.
In addition, some online recyclers promise high prices before shipping, but maliciously lower the price upon receipt using reasons such as &#34;scratches&#34; or &#34;functional abnormalities,&#34; which may constitute fraud. Users should retain evidence such as videos and photos and complain to market regulatory authorities if necessary.
