The United States and Iran are reportedly interested in ending hostilities, with the Dow Jones rising 1,125 points or 2.5% overnight, and the Nasdaq up 3.8%. The Hong Kong stock market opened higher in the morning, with the Hang Seng Index up 569 points or 2.3%, reporting 25,357 points; the National Index up 173 points or 2.1%, reporting 8,547 points; and the Hang Seng Tech Index up 127 points or 2.75%, reporting 4,777 points.

In the technology sector, Tencent (00700.HK), Alibaba (09988.HK), Baidu (09888.HK), Bilibili (09626.HK), and Kuaishou (01024.HK) opened up 3.6% to 4.1%, while Meituan (03690.HK) and NetEase (09999.HK) opened up 2.5% and 2.9%, respectively. JD.com (09618.HK) opened up 1.1%. In the chip sector, SMIC (00981.HK) and Hua Hong (01347.HK) opened up 4% and 5%. In the mobile components sector, BYD Electronics (00285.HK) and Sunny Optical (02382.HK) opened up 2.5% and 3.1%.

In the robotics sector, UBTECH (09880.HK) narrowed its annual loss to 703 million RMB, with its stock price opening up 8.2%. Its peer, Xinjian (02432.HK), opened up 3.6%. In the AI sector, Zhiyu (02513.HK) saw its annual adjusted net loss widen to 3.182 billion RMB, with its stock price opening up 15%. MiniMax (00100.HK) opened up 9.7%.

In the automotive sector, BYD (01211.HK) and Xiaomi (01810.HK) opened up 1% and 1.9%, respectively, while Geely (00175.HK) and XPeng (09868.HK) opened up 2.2% and 2.4%, respectively, and Nio (09866.HK) opened up 6.6%. Leapmotor (09863.HK) CEO increased his stake involving 230 million RMB, with its stock price opening up 2.1%.

In the financial sector, HSBC (00005.HK) opened up 2.7%, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) opened up 2.6%, and AIA (01299.HK) opened up 3.5%. China Cinda (01359.HK) reported a 17% increase in annual net profit, with its stock price opening up 0.9%. In the real estate sector, Henderson Land (00012.HK) opened up 2.4%, while Sun Hung Kai Properties (00016.HK) and Wharf Real Estate (01997.HK) opened up 3.5% and 2.8%, respectively.
