
The eurozone's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 6.2% in February, falling short of expectations
The European Statistical Office announced that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in the Eurozone rose from 6.1% in January to 6.2% in February, falling short of market expectations of remaining at 6.1%.
In February, the number of unemployed people in the Eurozone reached 10.919 million, an increase of 93,000 from the previous month, but a decrease of 124,000 from the previous year.
During this period, the unemployment rate for young people under 25 in the Eurozone remained at 14.9% month-on-month, with 2.373 million young people unemployed
