Trump is reportedly deeply dissatisfied with his administration's handling of the Epstein files, believing Bondi has not investigated his political opponents with sufficient rigor, leading to thoughts of replacing her. In a statement, he expressed a positive view of Bondi, calling her "a great person and doing a good job." Epstein Files Become Trigger, Discussion of Replacement Emerges Twice According to CNN, citing multiple sources, the idea of replacing Bondi with Zeldin first emerged in January of this year and was temporarily shelved as the fervor around the Epstein-related reports subsided. Some senior Justice Department officials believed this year-long political trouble had concluded. However, discussions reignited within the White House this Monday. Bondi is at the center of the Epstein files controversy due to her February 2025 interview with Fox News, where she claimed a "list of Epstein's clients" was "on my desk for review."
