Netflix in Hong Kong raises the monthly fee for the 4K premium plan to HKD 118 after two years
The streaming platform Netflix (NFLX.US), with over 325 million global users, has recently notified its Hong Kong users of price increases, with three plans seeing increases ranging from approximately 6.8% to 11.4%. The monthly fee for the 4K premium plan has been raised from the current HKD 108 to HKD 118.
Netflix stated that it is continuously enhancing its services and adding more programs and movies, which may lead to changes in plans and prices. To respond to local market changes, such as tax adjustments or inflation, plans and prices will also be adjusted accordingly.
The new prices have already taken effect for new users registering in Hong Kong, and existing users will receive an email notification about the price changes one month before their next billing date. The last price increase in Hong Kong occurred in April 2024, when the premium plan was raised from HKD 93 to HKD 108
