"Hong Kong Stocks" Hang Seng Index opened high at 139 points, chip and AI stocks perform well, Nio drops over 6%

Reports indicate that Israel and Lebanon will start negotiations in the U.S. next week. Overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 275 points or 0.6%, closing at 48,185 points. The Hong Kong stock market opened steady this morning (10th), with the Hang Seng Index opening up 139 points or 0.5%, at 25,891 points; the National Index opened up 43 points or 0.5%, at 8,655 points; and the Hang Seng Tech Index opened up 22 points or 0.5%, at 4,844 points.

It is reported that Iran allows no more than 15 ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz daily. Several energy facilities in Saudi Arabia have been attacked and operations suspended, leading to a narrowing of international oil price increases. CNOOC (00883.HK) opened down 0.5%, while PetroChina (00857.HK) opened down less than 0.1%.

Tencent (00700.HK) launched the major version of QClaw V2, with the "Lobster Butler" feature also debuting, but its stock price opened down 0.1%, at HKD 508. Alibaba (09988.HK) opened up 1.8%, Lenovo (00992.HK) opened up 2.3%, SenseTime (00020.HK) opened up 1.5%, Meituan (03690.HK) opened up 0.3%, and Bilibili (09626.HK) opened up 0.6%. Baidu (09888.HK) opened down 3.6%, making it the worst-performing blue-chip stock.

Chip stocks such as Hua Hong (01347.HK) opened up 3.5%, and SMIC (00981.HK) opened up 2.3%. AI stock KNOWLEDGE ATLAS (02513.HK) opened up 3.1%, and MiniMax (00100.HK) opened up 2.4%. Gold mining stocks like Zijin (02899.HK) opened up 1.6%, and Lingbao (03330.HK) opened up 3.3%. Mainland airline stocks such as China Southern Airlines (01055.HK), China Eastern Airlines (00670.HK), and Air China (00753.HK) opened up between 1.2% and 2.4%.

In the automotive sector, Xiaomi (01810.HK) opened up 0.2%, while XPeng (09868.HK) and BYD (01211.HK) both opened up 0.7%. Nio (09866.HK) has a pre-sale price starting at RMB 528,000 for the ES9, which will officially launch at the end of May, but its stock price opened down 6.8%. Morgan Stanley indicated that Nio's stock price has risen 36% over the past month, and there may be short-term profit-taking pressure after the company announces the ES9.

In the financial sector, HSBC (00005.HK) opened up 0.5%, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) opened flat at HKD 408.2, and AIA (01299.HK) opened up 1.7%. Additionally, WH Group (00288.HK) opened up nearly 3%, making it the best-performing blue-chip stock. (jl/W)
