Representatives of the China Duty-Free International Organization's Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce visit Hainan for inspection and sign a strategic cooperation agreement

The China Travel Service Group's Hong Kong and Macau Working Department, in collaboration with the China Duty-Free International Organization, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong Chinese Importers and Exporters Association, and representatives from various district business associations in Hong Kong, attended the 6th China International Consumer Products Expo and the "Invest in China · 2026 Hainan Free Trade Port Global Industry Investment Conference" in Hainan. During this period, the Chief President of the Hong Kong District Business Associations and member of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Election Committee, Lu Jinqin, along with the General Manager of China Duty-Free International, Dou Xiaoqiong, jointly signed a memorandum of cooperation and engaged in in-depth discussions on future cooperation directions.

During the inspection in Hainan, the delegation visited China Duty-Free's flagship project in Hainan, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the duty-free commercial format, operational model, and future development prospects. Representatives from various chambers of commerce also exchanged views with the management of China Duty-Free International on tourism retail, brand promotion, and cross-border trade cooperation, discussing ways to promote the expansion of Hong Kong brands into the mainland market and enhance cross-border consumption upgrades, reaching multiple cooperation consensus.

During the investment conference, major chambers of commerce in Hong Kong formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Duty-Free International. Both parties will leverage the platform advantages of China Duty-Free Group and the core engine role of the global supply chain, focusing on Hainan's duty-free policies, particularly around daily sales for island residents, promoting the establishment of high-quality Hong Kong brands in Hainan through resource integration, and expanding market space by utilizing the benefits of the free trade port and offshore duty-free policies, deepening practical cooperation between both parties.

While in Hainan, the Governor of Hainan Province, Liu Xiaoming, met with Dou Xiaoqiong, General Manager of China Duty-Free International Co., Ltd., Li Zhifeng, Deputy General Manager of the National Trend Export Business Department, and representatives from major chambers of commerce in Hong Kong. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on leveraging the policy advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the bridging role of Hong Kong's chambers of commerce, brand operation experience, strengthening investment attraction, optimizing the industrial layout of Hong Kong enterprises in Hainan, and transforming the "zero tariff" consumption policy benefits for residents of Hainan Free Trade Port into market increments.

China Duty-Free International stated that it will continue to rely on its channel and resource advantages, collaborate with the business community in Hong Kong, further expand the economic and trade cooperation space between Hainan and Hong Kong, and promote resource sharing, market connectivity, and coordinated industrial development
