Xiaomi Corporation-W (01810.HK) Chairman's Special Assistant and Public Relations Department General Manager Xu Jieyun posted on his Weibo to refute rumors that "Xiaomi Corporation founder, Chairman, and CEO Lei Jun was trapped in a car to defend his rights," stating that the vehicle had just parked in the rest area, and Lei Jun was recording the previous segment's mileage and energy consumption data while he himself was sitting in the back seat, with many fellow car enthusiasts present on site.
He emphasized that such malicious acts of fabricating rumors would never be tolerated
