Image credit: BYD)</figcaption></figure><p>BYD's ultra-luxury sub-brand Yangwang rolled out its most expensive model yet at the Beijing Auto Show, securing the first elite buyer for the limited-edition vehicle.</p><p>The production version of the Yangwang U9 Xtreme is priced at more than 20 million yuan ($2.9 million) per unit, making it the most expensive car sold at this year's Beijing Auto Show, Li Yunfei, general manager of BYD's branding and public relations, said in a Weibo post on Wednesday.</p><p>The supercar, designed to push the boundaries of speed, is limited to a global run of just 30 units.</p>    <div>        <p><span>Join us on </span>            Telegram            <span> or </span>            Google News        </p>    </div><p>Yangwang debuted the production version of the U9 Xtreme on April 24, the opening day of the Beijing Auto Show, featuring a striking black-and-gold exterior and a massive rear wing.</p><p>The Yangwang website showcases the U9 Xtreme but does not disclose pricing information.</p><p>Prominent Australian entrepreneur Nick Politis became the sole owner of the limited-edition supercar in the Australian market.
