The chain reaction started after American Airlines posted on X that SpaceX's Starlink internet service would begin rolling out across its flights starting in 2027, promising passengers a &#34;high-speed in-flight connection&#34; capable of streaming, gaming and real-time browsing from gate to gate.



Elon Musk quickly amplified the announcement with a short celebratory reply: &#34;Starlink coming to American Airlines!&#34;



Wood wondered whether her nearly 3 million American Airlines frequent flyer miles could someday evolve into &#34;Starship miles&#34; capable of taking her to the moon or even Mars.



&#34;Maybe AA/Starlink miles will translate into Starship miles so that I can fly to the moon or Mars!&#34; Wood wrote on X.
