Focus on Early Detection The Shield™ MCD laboratory-developed test is designed to screen for ten of the most common cancers through a single blood draw, including several cancers associated with high mortality rates in Singapore. The test recently received the «Oncology Product Innovation of the Year» award at the Healthcare Asia Medtech Awards and has also been granted Breakthrough Device Designation by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The collaboration builds on an existing relationship between Manulife and Guardant Health, which already provides customers in Singapore with access to the Guardant360® Liquid test for advanced solid tumours. The initiative also aligns with findings from Manulife’s Asia Care Survey 2025, which showed that more than half of Singapore consumers consider cancer the most difficult illness to prevent.
