The exchange will conduct a drill next Saturday (20th) to test the preparedness of participating institutions. However, the Hang Seng Biotech Index futures are not included in the list for the price limit expansion.</p><p>According to mainland media citing HKEX’s response, the exchange reviews and adjusts the price limits of its futures products from time to time. At present, there is no plan to adjust the price limits for Hang Seng Biotech Index futures. The circular issued this time is to notify brokers to participate in the relevant drill, while the specific implementation timetable will be announced separately after regulatory approval. HKEX believes the relevant adjustments will help ensure smooth market trading and prevent a sudden drop in liquidity under extremely volatile market conditions.</p><p>The designated contracts include HSI futures, HSI Dividend Point Index futures, HSCEI futures, HSCEI Dividend Point Index futures, HSTECH futures, Mini-HSI futures, and Mini-HSCEI futures, but exclude Hang Seng Biotech Index futures.
