NVIDIA once again powers AI! Collaborates with two major Indian enterprises to develop supercomputers, large-scale models, and applications.

In addition to consolidating its position as the "shovel seller," Nvidia is also continuing to support the "gold diggers." Recent news shows that Nvidia is seeking to further strengthen its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities by partnering with two Indian corporate giants. On Friday, September 8, Eastern Time, Nvidia announced a collaboration with Reliance Industries Limited, India's largest private enterprise, to develop India's own large language model (LLM). This model will be trained in various language environments within India and tailored to the needs of generative AI applications, serving the Indian population. Nvidia and Reliance Industries will build AI infrastructure that will be one order of magnitude more powerful than India's fastest supercomputer. Nvidia will provide state-of-the-art GH200 Grace Hopper superchips and cloud AI supercomputing services through DGX Cloud. Reliance Industries will develop AI applications and services for its subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm, serving its 450 million customers, as well as provide energy-efficient AI infrastructure for scientists, developers, and startups across India. The new AI computing infrastructure will be located in existing data centers with AI technology, with a final capacity of 2,000 megawatts. Reliance Jio Infocomm will execute the implementation plan and manage the facility. Furthermore, on the same Friday, Nvidia announced a partnership with Tata Group, India's largest conglomerate, to provide AI computing infrastructure and platforms for developing AI solutions. The two companies will jointly create an AI supercomputer supported by the next-generation Nvidia GH200 Grace Hopper superchip. Nvidia specifically mentioned its collaboration with two Tata Group companies. Tata Communications will collaborate with Nvidia to develop an AI cloud, aiming to provide critical infrastructure to support the entire lifecycle of computing. Tata Consultancy Services will utilize AI infrastructure and capabilities to develop and process generative AI applications. Through this collaboration with Nvidia, the company will reconstruct its collaboration with clients in an AI-first manner and enhance the skills of its 600,000 employees. Nvidia stated that this collaboration, including manufacturing and consumer businesses, will drive AI-driven transformation across the entire Tata Group.
