I often wonder why I used to focus on a few heavy positions but now gradually shift to a more diversified portfolio. The answer is not just 'fear of losing money,' but a change in mindset and perspective. There are too many opportunities; diversification doesn't mean compromising returns. There are many good companies in the U.S. stock market. Even if I set the threshold as 'potential to double in one year,' I can still filter out quite a few. More importantly, even if they don't double, as long as the entry point is stable, decent returns can often be achieved.
