1/ Huawei just introduced the Tau (τ) Scaling Law at ISCAS 2026. Presented by He Tingbo, President of Huawei's Semiconductor Business Unit. Core idea: replace geometric transistor scaling with time (τ) scaling using &#34;LogicFolding&#34; architecture. 🇨🇳 2/ In plain terms: instead of shrinking transistors further (increasingly expensive and physically limited under sanctions), Huawei is betting on making signals move faster within existing transistor structures. This is a real architectural shift, not just a marketing claim. Huawei says 1.4nm-equivalent chips by 2031. 3/ Market reaction: SMIC hit its +20% daily limit. Market cap now at RMB 1.25 trillion. Hua Hong also hit its +20% daily limit, market cap crossing RMB 230 billion. The A-share market is pricing in a structural upgrade to Chinese foundry demand. 4/ Still verifying the technical claims independently. Huawei has a track record of backing bold announcements with actual silicon, Kirin 9000S proved that under full US sanctions. But 1.4nm by 2031 is a specific, testable claim. Watching what TSMC and Samsung say in response. ⚡

Singapore core CPI came in lower than expected, smoothing out inflation concerns. However, the lagged economic data of the Middle East conflict has yet to fully factor in, and businesses have already been increasing daily prices of goods &amp; services. With US striking Iranian ships supposedly trying to place mines, the SG market is reacting to the news with the STI down approximately 0.8%.

Inflation subsiding might seem amazing but that also shows the impact of AI and how it might actually reduce the need to spend on services that used to be needed such as software services.

CPI is at a manageable level. this iran war will end sooner or later, straits of Hormuz will open, oil price will drop, inflation will be kept in check. all will be well again, man will adjust adapt to the new norm.

MAS monitoring, data coming in soft. Nothing I can do about macro. Just stay invested and let it sort itself out 💤

Hua Hong P/B is already running above its 3-year average. A lot of the domestic chip demand story is priced in at current levels. Risk/reward is less clean than it was six months ago. 📊

Core CPI at 1.4% but my grocery bill didn't get the memo. Official inflation and real life inflation seem to live in different universes😅
