Food prices rise to highest in three years on Iran war costs

Corn prices are down 2 to 4.5 cents in Thursday morning trade, following losses of 10.5 to 12.75 cents on Wednesday. Open interest fell by 10,150 contracts, indicating some long positions were liquidated. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price decreased by 11.5 cents to $4.26 1/4. Crude oil prices dropped significantly, impacting corn prices. Weekly EIA data showed an increase in ethanol output. The USDA's Weekly Export Sales report is expected to show corn bookings between 1-1.8 MMT for old crop. A South Korean importer purchased 132,000 MT of corn overnight.
