The Hong Kong Census and Statistics Department released its GDP estimates for the fourth quarter and the entire year of 2025, showing that the GDP in the fourth quarter increased by 3.8% year-on-year, and the annual growth was 3.5%, both exceeding market expectations. Private consumption expenditure, government consumption expenditure, and gross fixed capital formation all experienced varying degrees of growth. Goods exports and imports recorded real increases of 15.5% and 18.4% in the fourth quarter, respectively.
