Northern Graphite Corporation, in partnership with Rain Carbon Germany GmbH, H.C. Starck Tungsten GmbH, and Friedrich Schiller University Jena, has launched a three-year R&D program funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The €1.7 million initiative, named USE-G, aims to develop cleaner graphite processing technologies for Europe's battery industry, reducing reliance on Chinese supply chains. The project will focus on innovative purification methods and recycling processes to create sustainable battery materials, enhancing Europe's energy transition and circular economy.
