Keppel Infrastructure Trust reported a 17.3% drop in Q1 distributable income to $53.7 million, including divestment gains. Excluding these gains, income rose 18.2% YoY. The trust's energy transition portfolio saw a 19.7% increase in income, while environmental services rose 8.9%. However, distribution and storage income fell 9.7%. Net gearing increased to 41.9%, and the interest coverage ratio improved to 8.6 times. The trust secured funding for FY2026 refinancing and proposed a $128.1 million acquisition of additional interests in Keppel Merlimau Cogen Plant, expected to boost future funds from operations and distributions.

Keppel Infra Trust sees 17.3% drop in Q1 income, underlying earnings jump

Keppel Infrastructure Trust (KIT) reported a 17.3% decrease in Q1 distributable income to S$53.7 million, down from S$65 million year-on-year. Excluding a one-off divestment gain, income rose 18.2% to S$45.5 million. The energy transition segment saw a 19.7% increase, while environmental services grew by 8.9%. However, the distribution and storage segment fell by 9.7%. KIT's net gearing increased to 41.9%, and its interest coverage ratio improved to 8.6 times. Units of KIT closed at S$0.53, down 0.9%.
