TSMC’s revenue comes in at high end of predictions
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) reported NT$1.046 trillion (US$33.1 billion) in revenue for the last quarter, driven by strong demand for AI chips, aligning with its forecast. TSMC anticipates a 22% revenue growth in Q4 2024, with annual revenue rising 31.61% to NT$3.81 trillion. The company plans to enhance its 2-nanometer chip production and upgrade manufacturing technology in Arizona to meet AI demand. TSMC is expected to report a net profit of NT$475.89 billion for the last quarter, with a gross margin of 61.5%.
