State Bank of India (SBI) reported a Q4 gross NPA of 1.49%, down from 1.57% in Q3, with a net NPA of 0.39%. Provisions decreased, and the capital adequacy ratio is above 15%. SBI can support approximately ₹12 trillion in credit growth without new equity. However, treasury income fell significantly to ₹12.59 billion from ₹89.91 billion year-on-year, impacting overall income. SBI plans to enhance corporate lending in infrastructure, renewable energy, and thermal power, and will partially sell its NSE stake through an upcoming IPO.
