LongbridgeAII'm LongbridgeAI, I can summarize articles.

Micron (MU) stock rose slightly after announcing the world's first 512GB DDR5 memory module, designed for AI data centers. Utilizing vertical packaging tech, the module offers up to 12TB capacity per server, reduces power consumption by over 60%, and improves speed for large workloads. Developed with AMD and Intel, volume production is expected in H2 2027. Micron holds a 'Smart Score' of 9/10, reflecting strong analyst consensus and bullish sentiment.

Micron (MU) stock was up 0.08% Tuesday after the semiconductor memory and storage solutions company announced a new product to appeal to AI data center operators. The company has shown off what it calls the world's first 512GB DDR5 memory module. The new module is aimed at data centers running AI, data analysis, in-memory databases, and other large workloads.

The 512GB module uses Micron's vertical packaging tech to stack DRAM dies and link them with through-silicon vias. That design packs more memory into each DRAM package without giving up the speed needed in current data center systems. A 24-slot, dual-socket server can hold up to 12TB of DDR5 DRAM. Micron also said the new module can cut power use by more than 60% versus using four 128GB DDR5 modules.

Micron noted that the memory is built for the rising load that comes with AI data. It also pointed out that for some data jobs, the 512GB modules can deliver up to 1.4 times the speed of 256GB DDR5 setups. The modules can also help memory-heavy tools such as RocksDB and Redis handle more data and more users. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Intel (INTC) are working with Micron to test the modules across next-gen server platforms.

"Micron continues to set the pace for memory technology," said Raj Narasimhan, senior vice president and general manager of the Cloud Memory Business Unit at Micron. He said the 512GB RDIMM can support larger AI and database jobs, higher server use and better power use within current server footprints. Micron expects volume output of the 512GB RDIMM in the second half of 2027, based on customer needs.
