Great chance to buy up some REITs with great fundamentals and yields at a discount.

🐶 My Advice to Beginners: Start Small, Be Patient, and Keep Learning

Options trading may look daunting at first, but I believe anyone willing to learn step by step can gradually understand how it works. My advice is to start with the basics: understand calls and puts, strike prices, expiration dates, premiums, and the risks involved before putting real money on the line.

📚 Does It Take Long to Learn Options Trading?

I would say the basics can be learned in a few weeks, but mastering options trading takes much longer. Learning the mechanics is one thing; managing emotions, understanding market conditions, and controlling risk is another. Even experienced traders continue learning because the market is always changing.

    🚨 $QQQ WEEKLY WARNING — 3 BLACK CROWS COMING??? 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛

$QQQ just did something I don’t love heading into the weekend:

    Weekly 21 EMA: ~$711

    Weekly Close: ~$705

🔴 QQQ CLOSED BELOW THE WEEKLY 21 EMA.

A quick tag below the 21 EMA is one thing.

Closing the week below it is different.

    And now we have:

    🐦‍⬛ Crow #1: Down week

🐦‍⬛ Crow #2: Another down week

    🐦‍⬛ Crow #3: Flying in next week…?

We are now 2 straight weeks down, and another decisive red weekly candle could start looking a whole lot like the classic Three Black Crows bearish reversal setup.

But here’s what I’m REALLY watching:

    🎯 THE IDEAL RESET

A post-FOMC flush toward the weekly 50 SMA — roughly $665 — would be much more interesting to me than chasing downside here.

$700 is the FLOOR TO DEFEND!

    Why?

That would bring $QQQ much closer to the equity-vs-bond parity zone we’ve been tracking as Treasury yields have risen.

    In other words:

Stocks pull back → earnings yield improves → valuation becomes more competitive with bonds.

    That’s the reset.

    🔥 NEXT WEEK'S BATTLE

Reclaim $711: Bulls begin repairing the chart.

Stay below $711: Weekly pressure remains.

    Another heavy red week: 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛

Three Black Crows enters the conversation.

    Flush toward ~$$675 - 665:

Painful short term — but potentially the healthier valuation reset we've been waiting for.

The first two crows are already sitting on the fence.

Does the third one land after FOMC?

Thanks for the great insights Options Puppy! You mentioned "A good company can still fall substantially, and a great story can still be a terrible investment if I enter at the wrong price or take too much risk." and I totally agree with you on that. As per your username suggests, I thought you would be more into Options trading but I take that back after reading through your interview. That being said, my questions to you are as follow:

    1. How do you use Options strategically to earn some steady profits? (say for example cash secured puts)

    2. For laymans who have 0 knowledge on options trading, what advice would you give for us to learn and potentially use options statistics as a better guide for trading/investing without having the need to actually play with options?

    3. Do you recommend DCA-ing into ETFs or buy 1 shot at a reasonable size during a crash (recession etc) and hold till the next major dip?

From your name, I guess rightly in terms of Option trading. Your Option Puppy name is approachable.

    My questions to you are:-

    1. What do you mainly buy? Is it stocks, options only? Or do you buy other types of company shares?

    2. Grateful for you to share on your mindset. How do you able to pick the right time?

    3. Which quality stocks do you prefer?

    4. Even though it is the lesson you learn, I am curious how to be able to live when you invest. Though it is important to be calm, it can lead to despair at particular point in time. Do you share to someone who truly understands you?

The gains most likely be too crowded or drastic drops might be coming. Most gains are made when no one is talking about a company or when the company with good positive free cash flow is beaten down badly.
