If you think companies will keep using AI agents, Snowflake will make a killing. They charge by how much data you use, so more AI usage means way more money for them.

Now, Snowflake is mentioned to surge. Dow Jones, S&P 500, Nasdaq, Nvidia, Tesla, and Hewlett-Packard increase their percentage.

Besides that, Straits Times and local banks shares also rise. Hong Kong Share Hang Seng Index rebound their shares.

US markets are running on two tracks. Track 1: Snowflake surges 16.55% on real earnings + Waller’s dovish tilt = broad rally, all indices up 1%+. Track 2: Tesla’s Cybercab goes live but it’s invite-only in Austin, so no real impact yet. Investors are rewarding execution today and ignoring promises for tomorrow.

The real winner today was data. Snowflake surged 16.55% because a true earnings beat still matters. Waller’s dovish comments did the rest, sending rate-hike odds tumbling and lifting all indices 1%+. Tesla finally launched Cybercab in Austin, but the limited rollout left bulls asking “where’s the revenue?”. 2026 is about earnings, not vibes.

The market might be getting ahead of themselves and they might be starting to realise this administration will want to keep the business cycle going into elections.

I believe the Fed chair had to be hawkish last week for credibility and to be fair he was doing the correct thing. The market as usual likes to over react and overthink.

Snowflake’s strong earnings and raised guidance reinforce investor confidence in enterprise AI spending, while Waller’s comments reduced near-term rate-hike concerns. Together, stronger AI growth and a potentially less restrictive Fed backdrop supported broad risk appetite, driving all major U.S. indices higher. However, the September policy outlook remains data-dependent, particularly on August inflation. The combination is constructive for growth and technology stocks, but elevated valuations and inflation uncertainty could still increase volatility.

What Walker actually said was not quite dovish as it is a neutral conditional statement that *if* inflation continues to show signs of decline over next 2 weeks, then a hike wouldn't be needed in Sep. He made clear that the Aug CPI on Sep11 would be a data point. A market that rallies on such conditional statements means it was positioned for something worse; a lot of bearish leaning scared into repositioning.

I’m cautiously bullish, but I think the market may be getting ahead of itself on the Fed. Waller’s dovish tone is definitely supportive for growth and AI stocks, but tonight’s jobs report could quickly change the narrative. With consensus around just 56K jobs, a weak number could reinforce September easing expectations and push yields lower, while a stronger-than-expected print could bring some of that optimism back down to earth. I’m watching yields and the labour data more closely than the index gains.

For individual names, $Snowflake(SNOW.US) Snowflake’s 16% jump shows that strong AI-driven growth is still being rewarded, while $Broadcom(AVGO.US) Broadcom’s sell-off despite a huge AI revenue target reminds me how high expectations have become. I remain constructive on Broadcom and Tesla over the longer term, but $Tesla(TSLA.US)Tesla’s Cybercab launch still needs to prove it can scale beyond an invite-only rollout before the market fully prices in the robotaxi opportunity. Meanwhile, Singapore banks and the STI $FTSE Straits Times Index(STI.SG) hitting fresh highs are encouraging, and I’d rather continue holding quality positions than chase prices after a strong run.
