Waga Energy to Build Renewable Natural Gas Plant at Florida Landfill

Waga Energy SA has announced a partnership with Hillsborough County, Florida, to build a renewable natural gas (RNG) production unit at the Southeast County Landfill. Utilizing its WAGABOX® technology, the facility will process up to 3,000 standard cubic feet per minute of landfill gas, producing over 610,000 MMBtu of RNG annually for at least 20 years. The project aims to reduce CO₂ emissions by 47,500 tons per year, supporting local energy resilience and decarbonization efforts.

Waga Energy Secures CA$15 Million Quebec Grant for Hébertville-Station RNG Project

Waga Energy SA has received a CA$15 million grant from Quebec’s Ministry of Economy, Innovation, and Energy for its renewable natural gas project at the Hébertville-Station landfill. This funding, part of the Electrification and Climate Change Fund, supports Quebec’s goal to integrate 10% RNG into its gas network by 2030, as outlined in the 2025-2030 Implementation Plan for the Green Economy.

Waga Energy to Produce Renewable Natural Gas from Eugene Landfill

Waga Energy SA has been chosen to construct a renewable natural gas (RNG) production unit at the Short Mountain Landfill in Eugene, Oregon, in partnership with Lane County and the Emerald People’s Utility District. The facility will utilize Waga Energy’s WAGABOX® technology to convert landfill gas into pipeline-quality RNG, producing around 407,000 MMBtu annually. This project aims to reduce emissions and provide a sustainable energy source for the community, with an agreement lasting 25 years.
