$NVIDIA(NVDA.US)According to Reuters citing sources, the Trump administration is currently considering approving NVIDIA’s export of its H200 AI chips to China. If implemented, this would signal a potential easing of U.S. restrictions on cutting-edge AI chip exports to China. The report notes that the H200 chip offers roughly twice the performance of its H20 chip designed for the Chinese market. Meanwhile, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has repeatedly emphasized the importance of the Chinese market for both his company and U.S. competitiveness in AI, while acknowledging that due to current export controls, NVIDIA‘s chip sales in China are expected to fall to zero over the next two quarters.
If approved, could the H200 drive quarterly revenue growth for NVIDIA?
