In a surprising (or unsurprising, given how many U-turns we’ve seen so far) turn of events, the peace agreement will not be signed as scheduled in Switzerland. It is obvious both the US and Iran want to end the conflict but Israel is the wild cannon on the loose. True peace cannot be achieved without Israel’s involvement and cooperation. What was the US even thinking trying to negotiate a deal without getting Israel on board? I expect the market to react negatively next Mon. In volatile times like this, it is all the more important to hold stocks that have strong fundamentals as they are the ones that are likely to survive the storm.
