$Tesla(TSLA.US)Tesla just gave us another classic ” buy the rumor, sell the news“ week. After ripping higher on expectations, it gave back a huge chunk of the gains almost as soon as reality arrived. At one point I almost thought it was a memory-chip stock instead of a car company.

That‘s just how TSLA trades now. Expectations get priced in incredibly fast, and once the catalyst is out, momentum money is just as quick to head for the exit. The funny part is that the long-term narrative barely changed, but the stock can swing wildly anyway.

It’s a good reminder that with Tesla, sentiment often moves much faster than fundamentals. Sometimes the biggest risk isn’t bad news—it‘s expectations getting too far ahead of reality.
