software is down because semis are gapping up heavily today

this has become the new normal, so it shouldnt surprise anyone

however, id much rather deal with a software dump from 52-week highs vs making new lows almost every week a few months ago when the semis would pump

honestly, the $IGV names now taking a break and the $SMH names getting more life feels healthy 🤷‍♂️

would obviously love all names to move up or down together so playing different individual sectors wasn’t a thing but it is what it is…if both sectors take multiple months off at different times then the semi part of your port will just need to relax when saas goes up and vice versa

question is if semis can get a June run again and how low saas needs to go for that to happen but these algos absolutely are stuck in the long/short pair trade, just not as aggressively as when Leopold was deeper into the trade and every fund was copying him
