The latest report released by the European Commission found a significant gap between actual vehicle data and the official Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) data. In particular, the actual fuel consumption of plug-in hybrid vehicles is 3.5 times higher than the WLTP data. This may lead to major changes in Europe's assessment methods for vehicle efficiency and emissions.
