
With the possibility of Trump abandoning aggressive electric vehicle policies in the next five years, General Motors' profit model in North America can still be sustained. Focusing on large vehicles with some hybrid options (which don't require plugging in) could allow GM to continue in North America. In reality, all of GM's profits come from North America. Currently, China and South America are mainly used for cost-sharing, but if the vehicle lineup is more focused, this isn't a major issue.
