To boost growth
Thailand, this is not appropriate for you, right?🤣Thailand plans to distribute cash to most adult citizens. This long-delayed plan has finally announced detailed measures, serving as the government's core initiative to revitalize growth. Finance Minister Pichai stated at a press conference in Bangkok on Wednesday that the cash stimulus will help reverse the economic downturn and address the issue of high household debt. All Thai citizens aged 16 and above with incomes below a certain threshold can register through a "digital wallet" app between August 1 and September 15 to receive 10,000 baht (US$277) in the fourth quarter. However, there are strict restrictions on how this money can be used. Consumers can spend it at over 2 million retail stores, convenience stores, and mom-and-pop shops, with merchant registration starting on October 1. The funds cannot be used to purchase alcohol, tobacco, electronic devices, gold, jewelry, natural gas, fuel, and some other goods.
