Beijing Subway Line 3 collapse contractor fined 3.1 million yuan

According to US Stock Research Society, Tianyancha's business risk information shows that recently, Beijing Longxiang Hongtai Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. and Beijing Xingyuan Fuyuan Power Equipment Installation Co., Ltd. were fined 1.55 million yuan respectively by the Emergency Management Bureau of Chaoyang District, Beijing.

The reasons for the penalties indicate that on January 18, 2024, a collapse accident occurred at a power relocation construction site on Gongti North Road in Sanlitun Street, Chaoyang District, resulting in one death. Beijing Xingyuan Fuyuan Power Equipment Installation Co., Ltd. failed to properly manage and supervise the safety of the construction site, did not implement the production safety accident hazard investigation and management system, and did not take technical or management measures to promptly discover and eliminate the hazard of soil collapse inside the pipeline, bearing primary management responsibility for the accident and concealing the accident. Beijing Longxiang Hongtai Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. severely lacked on-site safety management, organized construction operations in violation of regulations, did not implement the production safety accident hazard investigation and management system, and did not take technical or management measures to promptly discover and eliminate the hazard of soil collapse inside the pipeline, bearing primary management responsibility for the accident and concealing the accident.

According to previous media reports, in mid-May, the "1·18 General Collapse Accident Investigation Report of Beijing Xingyuan Fuyuan Power Equipment Installation Co., Ltd. in Chaoyang Sanlitun" was released, recommending administrative penalties for the aforementioned two companies and suggesting that four individuals responsible for the accident be transferred to judicial authorities for handling.
