Before the grid is integrated with large-scale distributed energy storage, ultra-fast charging has no real significance. On the contrary, Nio's battery swap stations are the future integrated stations for photovoltaics, energy storage, and ultra-fast charging, making them worth long-term optimism. Another main purpose for XPeng to develop range extenders is likely to spread R&D costs (XPeng AeroHT's aircraft requires range-extender technology).
