
This is absolutely terrifying. If something happened to the child in the car, it would be truly horrifying. Europe has already started preparing to mandate the installation of in-cabin living detection radar. The U.S. has a Hot Cars Act proposal—when the driver parks and locks the car, if a child or pet is left inside, the system will immediately sound an alarm. This feature could help more parents, rather than relying on the child to press SOS (what if they don’t press it or the little girl isn’t quick enough?).
