Public funds' third-quarter repositioning strategy: increasing holdings in new energy, reducing holdings in utilities
Public mutual funds' repositioning in the third quarter revealed two major trends: firstly, the equity allocation of active equity funds has reached its highest level in nearly 10 years, and secondly, the new energy industry has become the preferred sector for increasing holdings, while utilities have been reduced. Despite over 90% of active equity funds achieving positive returns in the third quarter, with a median return of about 10%, industry experts point out that the increase in allocation is mainly influenced by the rise in stock prices, while the pressure of declining fund shares and net redemptions still exists
