According to media reports, today, rumors surfaced that Yao Ming, president of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), has resigned from his position, sparking discussions among netizens and trending on social media. A reporter learned from Xu Jicheng, vice president of the CBA, that the news about Yao Ming resigning as CBA president is untrue.
Tianyancha App shows that Yao Ming is associated with 22 companies and social organizations, of which 16 are active, including Touchdown Sports Financial Services (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Beijing Hepuhuiji Hotel Management Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Huangshan Investment Partnership (Limited Partnership). His business interests span sports, equity investment, hotel management, and financial services. Among these active companies, Yao Ming holds positions in 5 and owns shares in 12.
Notably, last year, Yao Ming stepped down as chairman of Shenlan Sports (Beijing) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the CBA, and CBA-affiliated Zhonglian (Beijing) Sports Co., Ltd., with Xu Jicheng succeeding him. Currently, Yao Ming remains the legal representative of the Chinese Basketball Association.
