Two reasons to be bullish on Reddit
First, selling data is the direct reason. Many people think selling data has no moat, but that's not accurate. As an independent platform with a predominantly young user base and continuously growing DAU, data will become a sustainable revenue stream in the next two to three years. Currently, only a few like Google and OpenAI are buying for AI training, but more will follow (look into the relationship between Sam Altman and Reddit's founders).
Second, it's the symbol of the retail investor era—in plain terms, it has good stock momentum. Retail investors are often seen as losers, but this group has already proven their market influence, from BTC a few years ago to GME two years ago. This year's surge in NVIDIA was driven by retail investors. The madness around MSTR was also retail-driven. As the breeding ground for meme stocks, Reddit, which has captured the retail crowd, will surely be rewarded by the market.
