According to Reuters, Bernd Lange, chairman of the European Parliament's International Trade Committee, announced that the EU and China are about to reach an agreement to abolish tariffs on electric vehicles imported from China to Europe. Lange said the two sides are about to reach an agreement, and China can commit to providing electric vehicles in the EU at the lowest price, which will solve the problem of competition distortion caused by unfair subsidies.

In 2024, the growth rate of new energy vehicles in Europe turned negative, with slow promotion of new models and insufficient product competitiveness. The removal of European tariff barriers will benefit China's new energy vehicle exports to the European market, increase the global electrification rate and the global share of China's supply chain, and is expected to raise the growth rate of global new energy vehicle sales in the coming years.
