Reuters: A document shows that Russia plans to use the seized American canned food manufacturer Glavprodukt to supply food to the Russian military. U.S. Secretary of State Rubio stated that the handling of this incident will become part of the negotiations to restart U.S.-Russia relations. Glavprodukt is currently controlled by the Russian Federal Property Management Agency Rosimushchestvo and belonged to Los Angeles businessman Leonid Smirnov before being taken over. Leonid Smirnov fled the Soviet Union in the 1970s and later founded Glavprodukt in 1999, turning it into a household canned food brand in Russia. Smirnov urged Trump to help save this canned food company at the end of March.
