China's manufacturing leader Luxshare Precision has officially completed the acquisition of a 50.1% stake in Germany's long-established automotive parts supplier Leoni AG! Leoni is a globally leading automotive wiring harness supplier, with over 80,000 employees across 23 countries and revenue of 5 billion euros in 2024. It was on the brink of collapse due to a debt crisis in 2023 before being taken over by Austrian industrialist Stefan Pierer for restructuring. This time, Luxshare's entry has clearly pressed the 'accelerator button' for this rebirth. The transaction has been approved by regulatory authorities in Germany, China, the U.S., and other countries, demonstrating the depth and breadth of the collaboration. In the future, Luxshare will serve as a strategic partner, working with its subsidiary Huizhou Technology to integrate Leoni's automotive cable business and enhance global competitiveness. Stefan Pierer still holds a 49.9% stake and will continue to participate in corporate governance, jointly driving Leoni toward its next growth phase.
